School’s Out

Tomorrow marks the end of the school year for my kids. The end of kindergarten for my baby (he tells me that he is not a baby, but he will always be my baby). The end of 3rd grade for Bug and 4th grade for Bean. Bean gets to embark on a new adventure in her life called Middle School. In our town Middle School starts in 5th grade so Bean will enter into that world sooner than I would like. She does get to go to a camp at the Middle school that will help her get to know how the school is laid out. And she will hopefully meet some of the kids that she will be in class with next year. A lot of them will be the same kids she has been in school with this year. She is really looking forward to this camp. There will be swimming, cooking class, science, technology and other stuff. The week is concluded with a over night camp out at the school. It sounds like a lot of fun.

Yesterday I bought Mario Kart for our Wii using some money that Steve had gotten as a gift for getting his Master’s degree. So since it was bought using his money I thought it was only fair that he and I be the first to play the game. So after having some batting practice with the girls outside we came inside to play the Wii. Steve has posted on his blog a video he took of Bean and Buddy begging to play the new game. After a while we finally had mercy on them and let them join in on the fun. The longer we have the Wii the more I like having it. We have some really fun times as a family playing games on the Wii.
